Those look great! I think I know someone who might be able to use these.

Do these lights feature a ECE-mark? The only lights I had found for the V70 of my wife were the ones with H1/H7 bulbs, Angel Eyes and - plastic outers. And from experience with other lights of this kind ('98 Ford Fiesta and 2002 Opel Zafira A), the manufacturing quality is not really overwhelming.wizechatmgr wrote: ↑21 Dec 2017, 18:21If you don't care about after market they were listed as "Evan-Fischer EVA1350809141498" which I believe was made by DEPO according to the boxes. They're no longer offered on Amazon and are manufactured in Taiwan. They have glass outers - not plastic. The amount of light I now get at night is freaking amazing. It's not quite as bright as HID, but it is more than ample. They felt like they weigh more than the OEMs that were removed.

Drove the T5 600 miles, stopped to see cuhfs, picked up the BigOne from Bryn Mawr, waved to Jim, drove home.
85 mph on NJ 287...not me...65 mph in the slow lane. 26.6 mpg on 93 octane. My all new serp belt accessories sure are quiet

on night shift this week. it's good to have a week off this now and then - got my rattly exhaust fixed at the local exhaust shop Tuesday (best $25 I've spent this year) and signed up for lifetime alignment at Firestone after tightening up a loose inner tie rod.
how did that tie rod get loose? iuno, but I'd had sloppy steering for at least 1500 miles. disaster averted. work that and the exhaust fixed, the car feels a thousand times better, but without that rattle I can hear all the other squeaks in the interior now.

Welcome to the club... my interior is ridiculously noisy. It was always weird driving my Saab because the little noise there was came from the suspension and not the dash.j-dawg wrote: ↑22 Dec 2017, 13:53 on night shift this week. it's good to have a week off this now and then - got my rattly exhaust fixed at the local exhaust shop Tuesday (best $25 I've spent this year) and signed up for lifetime alignment at Firestone after tightening up a loose inner tie rod.

I do not believe so but I do believe they're DOT/FMVSS complaint (I know, it doesn't help you..)TWC wrote: ↑22 Dec 2017, 00:19Do these lights feature a ECE-mark? I have a spare set (with one damaged) so I'll check tomorrow during daylight hours here.

Believe it is something like a 9006 bulb (haven't checked yet but need to update the in-car parts list) and the pattern on these is freaking awesome. Harness doesn't require modification and all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Would suggest buying the corner light assemblies at the same time as mine had already bit the bullet and I now have one taped in while I await the replacement.brunocerous wrote: ↑21 Dec 2017, 22:49 Those look great! I've been dreaming up plans involving nutserts and 10-32s through all the thin crappy plastic around the dashboard and center console, but I've got bigger things to deal with before that.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑22 Dec 2017, 15:59 Welcome to the club... my interior is ridiculously noisy. We can dream, haha
Maybe soon... I just want my interior to be clean and newer feeling than it is now. First step should be a new headliner... I get a snow storm every time I touch the visor.

Trans drain and fill -- 3.25 quarts out, same amount of Mobil JWS 3309 in -- on the new-to-us V70. Had a bang shift or two since acquiring. Seller did not disclose any shift issues and none cropped up on test drive.
No history of changes, though, so first drain and fill at 130,750. Fluid that came out was coffee colored, no burnt smell, but surely needed to be changed. Noticed immediate improvement. Needs trans buckle mount. Bushings are shot.
Also did an oil and filter change to Mobil 1 hi mi 5 W 30, Mann filter. Change was at 3,500 miles from last. Conventional oil fairly dark and what looked like pieces of the oil bottle seal
ended up at bottom of drain pan.
Bought 12 quarts of JWS 3309 on Amazon for $53 shipped, so at least two more complete trans drain and fills are in the cards. Will probably put about 500 miles on the car between each.
