I have an 850Turbo 1995 that is racing rpm's intermmittently. From 2000-3000rpms. it begins and ends randomly and seems to be worst with the AC on but not eclusive to that. The thermometer has been changed and it helped for a week. Mornings are exciting with my foot hard on the brake at the light and looks to accept my race challenge. I'm pretty certain I am the reason for the high cost of gasoline...supply nad demand you know.
Help anyone?

Causes of this can include gunked up intake manifold (use a spray degunker from an auto parts store), vacuum hose cracks or holes (small white hoses running here and there in the engine compartment), misaligned throttle cable, or a bad mass airflow sensor.
I'm sure there's more... those are what I'd look for first.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Have you checked the hoses around the EGR valve and sensor? I found in my 94 turbo that I was blowing the line off when on boost. Could be a throttle positioning sensor which changes the postion of your throttle when the AC is on.
Check the codes to see what they read.
