AC evaporator replacement

Looking at an 07 xx70 and the servicing garage indcates that the evaporator is bad- they quoted around $300 for the part- I want to know a rough idea of labour so that I may ask to have the price adjusted appropriately - I know the p80 this is a nightmare 8hr or so job just don't see the instructions for this version

My Alldata says 9.8 hours, not including evacuate and refill AC

Thanks that's what I thought 9.8hrs at 125$ per hour plus shop supplies plus refill is yikes a craptastic amount of cash

Any reason why it's faulty? This is very uncommon
