Since i bought this car i had problems with oil consumption, leaks.
First the VVT pulley was worn out and leaking, so replaced it. Oil consumption the same.
Then I found the oil inside turbo pipes, so I got CHRA core from Melett and replaced. Oil consumption the same.
So i found the turbo return gasket was leaking, because i messed it during turbo replace. Replaced that gasket, no leak - oil consumption the same.
Then the main crankshaft seal was leaking (that from timing belt side) so i replaced it. No leak, but - oil consumption STILL the same or even worse.
For now it's about 0.6-1l for every 1000km and I found there's still some oil in turbo pipes.
So I learned about PCV system and did a rubber glove test. No pressure buildup, glove was sucked in. No pressure or smoke from dipstick.
I replaced PCV breather box anyway. It was clogged with oil mixed with water, from condensation. Little bit of carbon deposits. Not 3/4 of passage like i see in videos. I cleaned that little hose that goes from banjo bolt, cleaned lower and upper drain holes in the engine block.
Put all the things together and... oil consumption still the same. I filled oil to 1/2 dipstick, drove 200 kilometers, and then I had 1/4 of dipstick scale.
I have no ideas. Lots of leaks and absolutely no change in oil consumption after repairs.
I was thinking that turbo core I replaced 1,5 year ago has just broke - that's why there's oil in turbo pipes. I was 99% sure that turbo died 6 months after Melett warranty. So i went to the mechanic today, raised the car and they checked if the turbo was leaking.
They said that there's some oil outside the turbo cold side, but it didn't die. Because the oil is clear, bright. If the turbo was dying, the oil will be much darker, and exhaust will have dark deposits/ black smoke. All i can see from exhaust is thin white smoke, like water from condensation, but it's smoking all the time, after warm up.
Mechanic said that the turbo is sucking the oil from breather box somehow. But i replaced it...
2 things i didn't clean and learned about it after the job: there's PTC valve near the turbo and oil channel in the oil pan, that's often totally clogged.
BUT. Engine runs smoothly. There's lots of power. (I did a remap recently to about 230HP. I know that remaps can cause engine to burn more oil, but NOT THAT MUCH) Could the clogged oil pan channel or clogged PTC nipple cause that oil leak/consumption?
I read about dipstick pressure measuring, to check if the PCV valve works good on idle and in boost.
So i put my vacuum/boost gauge pipe to the dipstick, and saw almost no needle reaction at all. 0 pressure on idle and full boost. Is it good or bad?
What else could be a problem? What else I can do?
Big oil consumption - PCV related? B5204T5 (2.0T 2006)
I couldn't understand how the whole PCV system works and how the pressure builds up sometimes.
If I understand now: The breather box is filling with oil from upper hose. And because the lower drain hole is plugged, oil collects in a box to a high level so quickly, that turbo sucks it through the PTC nipple, before it have chance to go down to oil pan? And turbo blows all that oil to the intake manifold.
Correct?

With that milkshake chris has nailed it, plugged channel in block.

Wow that's a lot of oil foam, especially for the topmost connection.
I'd start by making sure the drain port in the block is clean. It seems you have decent suction in the air hoses since you say you pass the glove test but too much oil in your pictures.
Regarding getting a reading on a vacuum gauge in the dip stick hole I've been unable to get one as well. A glove is sucked in nice and tight though.
