Cylinder misfiring CEL code P0302

Hi,
Yesterday I got a check engine light and the car is loosing power at 0-15 mph speed. Some times when moving from redlight, check engine light is flashing and it's changing to constant light after 25 mph.
Today I checked the CEL at autozone and it came out as P0302 misfiring 2nd cylinder. The car had original plugs and wires. Few months back, it got starting problem, which got resolved with replacing Fuel pressure regulator. Dealer also suggested to change MAF (Mass Air flow), which I rejected.
Does any one have suggestings before I hit that stealship?

I'm currently going thru the same thing. I've changed to spark plug wires and changed both coils. Still i get code P0302 Misfire cylinder 2. Can anyone tell me what else i should look at or replace. My email is [email protected] any information will be gladly appreciated

Welcome to MVS.
My next suggestion is to check your owners manual and use ONLY the specified spark plugs and gap them ONLY (this is important) to the specified gap. Not sure about on your car but the other Volvo's (S/V70, etc.) hate Platinum plugs and what you're experiencing is what we also experience with them.

Thanks for the quick reply, I will go monday to the dealer and purchase a set. Hopefully this fixes the problem. I havent driven this car in almost 6 month and im anxious to get back on the road with it soon.

What model car are you guys talking about?

I have a 1996 850R throwing this code.

Misfires at heavy throttle load, but rans fine otherwise.

Plugs, dist, plug wires recently changed.

Could this be a malfunctioning wastegate or turbo related issue?

Can anyone supply a link with discription of P0302 and P 1310 codes? ( I have both of these).

BTW: I have 180,000K miles on the engine.
