vehicle has now quit two times going down the road with no dash indications, with over 1,000 miles between these events.

starts back up.

battery was weak so replaced with a bosch.

recently did it again.

loosing interest in the car due to lack of dependability.

reading the ecm has been an issue that has been the problem on earlier models.

any suggestions?

I would Throw a new fuel relay at it. Sometimes the lead soiders get brittle. Long shot...

Agree with diagnostics is best with this, am contemplating buying the vida software to load on my laptop. cost is about $275 ?

a have 2 volvo's so it can be a good investment in lieu of going to the dealer for this and future repair.

I do have a few codes retrieved from my diagnostic tool and will share.

With no stored DTCs he needs a genuine DICE-Vida with an SD card recording CANBUS live data to capture an event.

I agree might smell like like a failing relay. But which one? ...fuel pump relay...main engine management system relay... ignition switch....

I would spring for a 1 hr max diagnostic at the dealer and save throwing parts at it. Vehicle is still fairly young and the issue may be simple like a relay. Maybe a $200 fix with the diagnostic?
