This is how I understood it, correct me if I am wrong.

You wanted to convert your N/A 850 to turbo 850, most people told you not to do it, but you went ahead anyways because of sentimental value.

You did the work, but the car won't run right with N/A harness with the turbo engine so you bought a Turbo harness and crafted it in.

Car started, only with carb cleaner/starter fluid injected to the intake manifold. Injectors won't fire! You did some kind of work, and then ignition won't light up! You crafted N/A harness back in, and car started and ran.

You thought about megasquirt, deem it too expensive and you didn't think you have the skills to make it work. Shop solution couldn't you promise you a set amount of money.

Now, you want to find a parts turbo V70 and put that in instead.

Do I have it right?

Almost, I'm using the v70 t5 engine, as its the same as the 850, just bigger turbo, the harness is from a 95 850 t5, but when the guy sold me the harness, he cut it from the cab side, closer inspection, there is a couple more wire going towards the cab. So now my understanding is that possibly I need the wiring leading up, if I take it all it should some how work.
Aye there is sentimental value on the car, plus I've had her for 3 years, done plenty of work to get her handling round these country roads, but now she needs power. Aye its easy to just go buy a t5, but where's the fun it that?

+1, my friend... some of us are insane enough to want to do things the hard way. When you just go buy a car, you can't say you built it!

Enjoying your work is fine, but when you want to do unique modification to your car, expect zero help from anyone because no one else have your unique setup.

The most I've ever paid for a car was $500. I only buy projects!
