The photos look like a car that had a lot of angular hits. If you aren't directed by the crash at the airbag then they SHOULD NOT deploy. Imagine you hit something where you are directed toward the windshield post and are unbelted. The airbag striking you on your right shoulder would only twist your upper torso and could make injuries worse. The direction sensing of airbag systems is not something never found in error on Volvos and also not on any others in the last 15 or so years.
I wrote unbelted as that would be the situation where a wrong deployment has more implications. Belted gives you the far more wide ranging protection of pretensioning and force limiting seatbelts and makes the airbags as secondary protection in very severe collisions where the passenger area intrusion and belt elongation from much higher forces makes the airbags provide extended protection. I see the front bumper beam displaced left and not much crush of extremities of the car on any corner. What injuries do you believe airbags would have lessened?
I don't see any side intrusion on doors. That is what triggers inflatable curtains.
You might contact an experienced lawyer but he is likely to employ an engineer or other expert witness at your expense before he will do contingency for any action. I see a car that looks like hundreds damaged in ice wrecks in TX with no airbags. Again, think of how an airbag that you impact on 1/2 or less across your upper torso is helping any injuries you have. The RF looks like the hardest hit and that would have sent you towards the center dash/radio area.

I’m not out to sue anyone. The car saved my life. When it happened nobody believed I just walked away. It took a few days before the hurt started hurting. I was able to drive the car out of the middle of the road, that’s how well made the car is. My post wasn’t about bashing Volvo but only to let them know there might be a defect in the year. I’m looking for the same year and model in order to use my motor and transmission.
Thank you all for the feed back.

They could always retrieve the data from the SRS/airbag controller. It likely has an event stored even though they were not deployed.
I had a 2007 Kia Sephia that Kia decided to purchase back after a wreck. The airbags SHOULD have went off but did not due to a defective airbag. The airbag on the driver's side was literally replaced the week before the wreck. On that car someone's trailer hitch ended up between the front two seats after going straight through the front end of the vehicle. Luckily I wasn't driving it, but my cousin was rather shook up. She ended up with one hell of a bruise to her chest from taking the steering wheel. I hated that car - it may have had something to do with the fire under the passenger's side seat due to a ground bar not being properly secured TWICE. Prior to that I ended up shot into an intersection while my foot was on the brakes.

Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

As mentioned above I think, if the car was sliding sideways when it hit the guardrails head on, much like the car in this video at 3:55 , then there may be a chance the front airbags won't deploy 'by design' (imo)
