Because they said it might take multiple days I'm thinking they may be talking about OBDII readiness. If a DTC code has been erased or the battery disconnected the readiness monitors may not have been completed and additional drive cycles may be needed or some other problem is preventing the readiness monitor from completing. Evaporative system monitor readiness can take some time because of the conditions needed to run this test, such as fuel level in the tank.davidhaberstroh123 wrote: ↑04 Apr 2018, 08:26 Does anyone work for Volvo or have some knowledge on what they call a re-learn for your cars computer. I called them to get an idea of the cost and how long it would take. It irritates me and infuriates me when they say well it could be 5 dollars or 1000. That is just an exaggeration but you get my point. They also said that it might take multiple days?? I need someone on the inside an inside mole at Volvo or are they the only ones that can do this???

It would good to ask for more specifics from your inspection shop. What warning light(s) are they referring to, is it the check engine light indicating a DTC (should be visible on your dash too) or is it a warning light on a scanner they're using saying the readiness status is not complete?
Was the battery recently disconnected or did it go dead? Have DTC codes been recently erased? If there were DTCs what were they if they were erased?
