Brake Light Problems, S40 1.8i R Plate

Hi

My S40 seems to have an electrical failure where the brake lights come on all on their own. This happened on saturday during the night when the car had not been running for some time and was locked and off.

I was in bed when my door went at 6am from a neighbour advising my light were on. i hadn't used the car since 6pm the night before (12 hours before) and all the lights were off at that point.

I tried starting the car and it started fine. first time infact without any coughing. So the light must have came on during the night.

Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix this issue
