Diaphragm was broken, no vacuum, so replaced it with one from Ebay. There are numerous Youtube videos, Robert DIY links to adjusting properly, pretty easy even for me. 4.4 PSI on the rod, if I recall, though I did 6 PSI.
If you are using a gauge like this for the wastegate adjustment start on the low side of the pressure set point, set the rOd, then test drive. Typical error on a gauge will be 5% full scale or 1.5 psi

You don’t want to overboost or you will bend a rod.

I don’t think you are in a much danger with a 99 ME7 as that system monitors manifold pressure

And I got this completely backwards.

If you are using a larger scale gauge, start on the

HIGH SIDE OF THEPRESSURE SETTING FOR YOU CAR !!!

can there be a leak at the vacuum pipes at the pedals because i can hear a hissing noise when i press the brakes. i still have a leak somewhere because i still have a boost drop if i accelerate gradually. it goes up to 0.6 bar and then drops to 0.3 bar.
