1999 ME7 purge valve function observed part 9470775

Car is in status all monitors ready and no CEL neither active nor pending

At 65 mpg GPS I observed the CPU cycles the purge valve every 365 seconds (+-20), opening it with 100% duty cycle indicated for 35+-5 seconds

During the open time the fuel tank pressure falls to -10 hPa consistently , otherwise sitting at 0 +-0.5

This was with the fuel tank approximately 90 % full

It’s the cow magnets on the fuel line.
