01xc70 w/85780: Driver seat shifts fwd/aft sometimes
for past couple months, on rare occassion, I've noticed after I've reversed and the shift into drive, the driver's seat will move a bit... is this a potential hazard?

Could be...not an XC but when I got my S70 it would do this. Bolts on the floor were all re torqued and no more movement.

If re-torquing the bolts doesn't fix it, there is a kit you can get that has a gas shock, exactly like on the hood, but much smaller that you can install under the seat that fixes this problem.
I did a quick search and found this note that references the Service Bulletin.

Oh, and by the way, don't try this when impressionable young kids are around, it is tough getting the shock installed! But it will fix the problem.
