Unfortunately the R was too far gone for me to continue the project. The transmission was indeed shot. I have decided to part her out and will list what I have available in the next week or so.

Get a used trans in for $500 and you have a great car.

Parting these out I see tough love, you have to make money $5 at a time with free shipping.

Yeah... I hear you Tony d ... just trying to save you from financial suicide... I had a 850 R wagon a few years ago... hard to find a good Volvo R anything that hasn't been used and abused. I'm sure another one will come up. Good hunting....
