98 v70 ps return line leak

Post by frisky99 »

Hello, I have a seeping leak on the return line at the clamp that holds the two lines together towards the front of the car. Since it is low pressure is it worth trying to cut out the bad section and clamp on some flexible fuel line or the like ? Just did a steering rack on our other car and am looking for an easy way out. Reading past posts it looks the connection to the rack can be troublesome. Thanks , Frisky 1998 v70 na

I think it was cn90 that posted it, nut there is a thread out there for rebuilding the return hose using proper line and regular hose clamps instead of crimped on connections. It can be worked economically.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)
