Hey all,
So the other day I acquired an abs harness/connector section that I cut off a '95 850 turbo.
I cut the old one off in the eng. bay and spliced the new one in, rather "crudely" for now, and voila, abs light and 'tracs off' light both went away after I drove over x km/h. Awesome.
New problem - I hate abs!
But seriously though, I think there may be another "issue" here with traces or abs.
I wish I could upload a sound bite of me making the noise but... When I come to a stop the car makes this weird noise (it did before too, When abs and tracs were "working") that's like a rattling or a ...sounds like when you try and tell someone how to roll their R's in another language....lol
Rdrdrdrdrd. And it slow as the car comes from a slow to a stop. And you feel it in the brake peddle. As well as hear it.
It happens on perfectly smooth pavement at a normal braking speed as well as other situations. Its so GD annoying!
Is everyones abs or tracs like this? - I doubt it!
I hate it. Anyway, the light is off. So that's good...I guess.
I wonder if it could have to do with my "sprocket type wheels" that the wheel speed sensors read speed from - they are so rusted it's ridiculous.
?
ABS sensor testing..
Dirty ABS sensor. Start with front sensors because they are easier to reach. Pull them out and clean the tip of sensor then try driving the car. When you see dirty one you will know what cousing the problems with ABS.

I'm dealing with this exact same process but my pins are way different. I am working on a 2000 and have a 99 parts car. Both are awd. example pins 1 and 2 are for the drivers front. weird.
Hi I have a 2000 v70 an I get a ABS Sensor code and occasional ABS light on.
I checked all the sensors and I am not getting any resistance or voltage reading on any of the wheels. Is that possible?
I went and bought another tester and I am still not getting any reading.
I ordered another set of sensors. I got the rear ones for now. I measured the resistance and got just over 1200 ohms with the old tester; still nothing with the new one. After 5-6 measures I got no more resistance readings with the old or the new meter on the new or old sensors. Not sure what is going on. Appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you very much!

The wire in the sensor loom is small gauge and will break if the loom is stretched slightly. My guess is it separated and so you are getting intermittent readings. The 2000 rearloom is a 99-00 part only and has to be fish taped over the gas tank. The fronts are easier with nice connectors for each on the strut towers
Make sure all the clips for the ABS wires hold the wire to protectit from chafe and damage, use zip ties if any are missing
