Drool moment: rare car for sale

Post by oragex »

As seen on another Volvo forum (swedespeed.com) this seems to be a one of a kind occasion (I am not/don't know the seller)

I looked at an '06 with 35k a couple years ago and considered that exceptionally low miles for the age. I intended to buy it but messed up and didn't put $ to hold the car overnight. Another buyer snapped it up first thing in the morning before I got back to the dealer. But that was listed for $7500 +TT. $14,9 pretty high even considering the mileage - it won't sell right away as most buyers considering an 11 year old car probably won't have that much cash on hand to buy it outright/ ~$10k down payment if trying to finance.

Nice R cars will only increase in value. As with all cars, the more rare the options it has, the better the appreciation. Look for Atacama interior, manual transmission, low miles, clean title with provenance.

That's strange. I'm on my phone so this is the best I can do when it comes to posting pictures.

The 850 has 44,000 km or 27,000 miles, less per year than the S60. And it's the first R, in much more iconic as a collector's car. That S60R I'd make a daily driver, probably not that T5-R.

'99 Camry V6  153k
gone: '96 NA 850 210k, '98 NA V70 182k, '98 S70 NA 225k, '96 855 NA 169k

Agreed 100%. That 850 is the top of the top of collectible Volvos. For those wondering why this 850 is so valuable, here's why Cream Yellow 850 T-5R.
