EDIT 99 and 2000 fender liners are not the same as 850's

Yes, you could definitely get wider tires under there but it would likely require spacers and fender rolling right? I'm just saying that stock, wider than 215 with no modifications will (very likely) rub on an 850. Even my 205/55 snow tires on Perfos rub on my 850's liners

You adapt quite quickly and learn how far you can turn. I had 245s on my S80 with limiters for 205s on for a brief period.
