PROBLEM SOLVED!!! When I opened up the thermostat I found that the thermostat had popped and stuck open. I replaced the thermostat and the cooling water temp sensor and hooked it all up. The temp gauge worked as normal and car surging has vanished!
So if your car is SURGING; not just stalling, it can be added to the list of problems associated w/ a thermostat and cooling water temp sensor going bad.
Thanks for everyones help!! if anyone is in desperate need of the following:
Both brain boxes
I have 3 working idle control sensors
2 coil assemblies
and 2 throttle position sensors
Let me know and I can send them out to you for a minimal charge for shipping. Or they will just lay around in my garage.
Thanks Again!
