Transmission heater/cooler lines

Greetings!

I noticed some fluid on the left side of the radiator, trickling from near the top and then down the back side of the rad, closest to the driver's side. The leak appears to be coming from a hose/line at it's attachment to the upper rear side of the radiator, and then disappears below a few vacuum lines toward the transmission. The connection to the upper back driver's side hose seemed a lit loose, so I attached a wom-type clamp, that so far is holding up.
Is this a transmission coolant hose/line? It is partly rubber and partly metal. Does anyone know if there is a specific part number for this hose/line? It would be for my '98 V70, automatic, 2.4l engine.
The battery was problematic as well. Charged it overnight and it barely turned over this morning! Went to Advance Auto to have the battery tested, found out that one cell in the battery was dead. Is it worth trying to do anything about this dead cell, or should I just bit the bullet and pick up a new batttery?

Transmission cooler lines: Yes, you ID'ed the hose correctly. It is common for these to leak at the radiator, the problem may be just the o-rings and/or the sealing ring. Putting on the clamp was a good idea, many people do that as a preventive step.

Now that you have clamped it, clean it up and try to figure out if it is leaking any more. If so, is the leak from the joint (bad o-rings) or from where the hose enters the metal hose-end? If the leak is at the joint just get a seal kit, only buy Volvo unless you want to do it again soon. If the leak is from the hose itself you can either buy whole new line(s) (expensive) or piece together lines yourself with a Dremel and a shopping list (much cheaper, better quality than aftermarket new lines).

The battery it sounds like time to bite the bullet, let's see what others say.

The leak is most likely from the o-rings and plastic retainer. They're cheap, and I recommend ordering some extras. Most of the plastic retainers will break when you re-use them if they're original.

For the battery, just replace it and save some trouble down the road. These cars often will get errant and/or misleading warning lights with bad batteries or electrical supply.

It is a 98 so no plastic retainers, it has the metal ones. The metal ones rarely break I wouldn't replace them unless they are obviously disfigured, just surround them by a zip tie or a worm clamp.

Which reminds me: make sure the metal retainer is not on backwards. The thicker side goes towards the radiator.

Does anyone know size of the orings on the transmission cooler lines?
