How old are your ignition components: cap, rotor, wires, plugs? Could be fuel pump relay on its way out (especially KAE). Maybe the ECT is reading wonky. MAF sensor is also a likely suspect. Also check all induction and vacuum lines, as small cracks can cause poor performance.

when there is a distributor involved the rotor and contacts in cap for the plug wires are not in alignment when timing is advanced or retarded a lot. The gap the spark jumps is larger and it will jump across a track in cap to another plug wire contact if the correct plug wire has resistance. Required firing voltage is not a constant and is higher for richer mixture. When the voltage builds to ionize the gap between plug electrodes and that is compounded by plug wire issues the current will find a lesser required voltage path.
Does it do this when accelerating or at steady cruise in that range

That would point to worn / dirty components as outlined above.

Fits with bad wires and tracked cap. You can probably see if it you remove distributor cap. Replace rotor too as those can track through rotor and ground to driving shaft.
