2004 V70 cannot insert key question

Hi guys,

2004 V70 with 105K miles.

I did the preventive removal of the bottom plate of the ignition tumbler.
Everything went well as planned but:

1. "Relocker Pin" fell out but from what I gather this relocker pin was an over-engineering thingy.
Most people leave it out w/o issues.

2. Now, the new problem happens...once in a while, I cannot insert the key in the tumbler.
Does anyone know the reason for this?

Probably other pins/parts are jammed in there. Jiggle the key and take a look up under there you will probably find something.

Found the problem, it was another piece of metal that was broken and jammed the tumbler.
