The XC90 was parked near a gigantic summer 2018 fire in downtown Denver.

The SUV was totalled by the owner's insurance company.

Several years back when 240 diesels were new cars and I worked at a dealer, I had good customer call me and ask what to do about gelled diesel fuel in his car. I told him to drag it into a heated garage was the best. His 1984 240 showed up the next day on the hook with melted rear bumper cover, melted taillights, and deck lid and both quarter panels all sooty. He built a charcoal fire in his shorty BBQ grille and then pushed it under the car once it burned down to coals. The undercoat melted and dripped into the grille and went ablaze. Poor Fred was known around the shop as "flaming Fred" from that day on.
