Brushed it clean of dust and let it sit overnight with few drops of WD40 using a syringe at injector fittings. The injector seal at the intake have lost roundness, plasticky and hardened at touch. Thinking about replacing seals. Any thoughts on how to?
I always replace those rings when installing fuel injectors. The PN for those seals is 30731375. I purchased 12 locally. Use a pick to remove the old ones. Reinstall the new ones with a dab of motor oil or silicone grease. This PCV replacement video from FCP gives good details on replacing them

You'll find him doing the injectors ~17min in the video.

Don't forget to replace the banjo bolt crush washers. I'm installing a new banjo bolt along with new crush washers.

Ddin't have time to remove the manifold today so I'll start it tomorrow. Vida instructions gives 15ft/lb torque for the manifold bolts and 8ft/lb torque for the ETM bolts. I'll follow VIDA at 15ft/lb for the manifold so I don't strip them.

I'll get some wire loom at Autozone or Napa tomorrow.

The two oil trap orifice at the block were as filled -- oily and thick like potter's clay. The wires with new looms make a great difference. Now cleaned and the new Volvo PCV parts are connected from end-to-end.

FCP video is helpful. Does it matter if pipe 8653339 was flipped - black ring at the block NOT at oil trap.

Removed the throttle body and throughly cleaned outer surface of intake manifold. It is back to silver and shinny, doesn't look old at all. You can hug it tight wearing white shirt. What is the color of intake in R-Design, Ferrari Red?

The under surface of intake and throttle body was wet with engine oil. Wetness was visible inside the intake where throttle body is mounted. Where is this oil vapor coming from -- excessive?

CHECKED: tighten throttle body screws 10nm, and intake screws to block 20nm.

We’ve seen official Volvo lit with that pipe both ways, xheart. I wouldn’t worry about it. Your way is correct , of course.

Your not alone Xheart. My pipe was backwards with the rubber side mating the block.

My intake manifold was also lined with fresh oil. To my knowledge it indicates the narrow plastic PCV pipe is doing it's job and not clogged?

Took me 2.5 hours to remove all the parts then clean them. They didn't have 1/4" wire loom at neither shop so I had Napa order some. I'll pick it up tomorrow morning then possibly finish the installation tomorrow. If not then it'll be no later than Wednesday.

Thank you, I'm making progress.
After several failures, now I can do the bonjo to manifold with my eyes closed. Putting a towel over the alternator will keep you from searching the fall-in o'ring forever, never found. Plus, towel saves your cuticles from tearing.

If you haven't replaced the injectors O-rings then be very careful removing the old ones. The pintle caps are very brittle on these old injectors. One pintle cap partially broke off. It still surrounds the injector cap 100% so it should hold the new O-ring in place until I get this injector repair kit delivered

I went the Aliexpress route, bought this kit with the injector basket tool, complete with washers + o-rings.

The fuel rail with injectors is yet to be separated and serviced -- keeping dirt away.
I've picked up replacement Volvo o'rings.

PCV, trans cooler hoses, rear exhaust cam sealing ring, and replacement Volvo radiator. Now stopping, and moving to oil pan service using Volvo O'ring kit PN 30750783.
Intake looks new after simple green scrub.
