2007 XC90 Power Seat problem drivers side
I had a problem this morning with the power seat on the drivers side not moving. I tried resetting by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Then I switched the fuses 3 and 4 between the drivers seat and passenger seat. The passenger set still works but drivers does not. Now I have just managed to get the seat moving by disconnecting and reconnecting the control module from the controls. The seat only moved temporarily and then stopped again. Any suggestions? Is it likely a control module problem, controls switches problem, or possibly just a connection problem? How do I determine which? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had a problem on my 2004 XC90 where the wires that went to the control module on the seat were shorting. Did you pull the cover off and examine the wire for breaks? If I recall a clip on the back that goes around a seat tube then something in the front. Do a search for the part on eBay and look at the pictures. On mine the wires were broken and touching - on yours they may be broken and when you move things the connect. Worth a look.

Similar scenario in my '05, wire bundle from seat switch to seat assembly, when I would get in the car and move the seat, it would move then stop working, turning the car off/on would get it to work again.
Traced to a seat side panel replacement where I did not tie-wrap the harness back up, wire bundle would lay on the track area and get pinched or pulled or something which would force the seat control to die. Since tying the harness back up, have had no issues.
