2002 volvo v70 turbo boost pressure sensor 9125462

Check Engine light's on. readout says initially Boost Pressure Sensor. 2nd message says a whole lot of stuff including turbo charger and oxygen sensor. But, i want to try the booster sensor first. Can I get at it...or is this a big job? Where the heck is this sensor?

It is on the Intercooler. At the head of the last air hose before the throttle unit. Easy-peasy job.

At the front of the car is the radiator that cools the coolant, then the intercooler that cools the pressurized air from the turbo to the throttle body, and then the big engine fan that pulls air through the previous two. (There is also a ATF cooler in there somewhere.)

The pipe with the compressed air comes out of the intercooler on the driver's side, about a foot down. It turns 90 degrees and runs under the intake manifold to the throttle body. You should be able to see it but the intake air pipe to the engine air filter may be in the way.

On my 2006 S60, the boost pressure sensor (MAP) is mounted on the intercooler where the exit pipe attaches and is held with a Torx screw. There is also a set of wires connected to it. When I replaced mine, I removed the screw and the sensor, then the connector once I had it accessible. I needed a 6 inch extension on my Torx driver.

I had to get a replacement screw from the local dealer as the head was rusted, but the screw loosely in place held the MAP for a few days while I dealt with that.

This is the MAP/ Boost sensor.

As mentioned when facing the bumper it's mounted on the bottom right side of the interooler. It's mounted onto the inercooler with a tiny plastic torx screw.

List all the codes then report back.

Yes. I ordered the part. The first time we got codes it said PO 236, and PO 237. I changed out a bad battery, and then rechecked. It gave the same codes and some more...turbo charger, oxygen sensor...and maybe something else...don't have the code numbers. Figured I'd fix the boost sensor and then do it again. Car seems to be running fine.

Could be boost sensor but vacuum or induction leak also,a possibility.
