Ours usually have a brim paved with stone around the centre. Perfectly possible to drive on but uncomfortable in a regular car. Then you both have to slow down and large vehicles can pass. Either that or a diameter that's large enough for vehicles to pass.

Regular EU truck and trailer combo is 18,5 m. Sweden generally allows 25,25 m combos everywhere and up to almost 40 in some cases with three trailers I think. Mostly timber lorries. Then you've got excavator carriages and other long things to take into account.

Highway only was 30.5 Avg MPG over about 20+ miles at about 70 mph, or slightly less, in the wind shadow of a commuter bus.

I get 32 mpg out of the NA FWD routinely and 35 mpg if I drive for mileage. That’s ridulous mpg for such a luxury ride.

I've found that dialing in the wheel alignment affects both city and highway mileage, but city more. If it's off a little highway might drop 1-2 mpg, which isn't that much, but it'll become a real pig in the city as instead of coasting half or more of the time with your foot off the pedal you never take your foot off the gas unless you're braking to a stop. I drive mine in Chicago downtown area sometimes in rush hour fairly often and this is my experience as I've been tweaking the alignment/suspension over the last few years since I bought it.

Edit: adding a little more personal experience with regard to rolling resistance due to wheel alignment in city driving. Without touching the gas pedal on flat level pavement, taking your foot off the brake the car should roll up to at least 10 mph on its own given a little time. If alignment is off, even by a little bit, you simply won't get up there without touching the gas pedal. That's on a FWD. AWD cars would be different and might not go much faster than a creep/walking pace at idle.

My 2001 V70 2.4T automatic transmission gets about 14mpg city, 27-30mpg highway, depending on cargo load. Keep tires inflated to 38psi at all times, will bump up to 40 or 42 if carrying a super heavy load (learned from experience). I try to avoid using the turbo boost unless needed. 87 octane gas. Tracked in the Fuelly app at each fillup since my car doesn't have a built-in MPG indicator. I wish the city mpg was better, but I'm pretty happy with the highway mpg.

It also comes down to the engine running condition (sensors, etc). I'm rather jealous when I read about people getting 20mpg in city driving, I get rather 15mpg.

Well that's the problem I have with city, or should I say "City". New suburbs tend to have long stretches of timed lights, like the new Denver suburbs to the far north or far south of the city. Good for MPG. Downtown Seattle for instance is the opposite. Traffic, monster hills, gridlock. But that's "City" also. They're really not comparable.

31.1 highway this a.m. Inflated a rear tire. Speed between 60-70, no commuter bus.

I've got an average of 28 mpg based on all refuelings since I bought the car almost 50' miles ago. Probably something like 40/40/20 motorway(incl Autobahn at high speed)/regular rural roads/city. Average speed in the trip computer usually ends up at 40 or so over time.
