Hey, Matt - I hate to say it, but not a fan...
Reduced contrast makes it less legible, not more.
I agree with the overabundance of negative space.
And is the font smaller, or is it just me?
Honestly, IMHO, it wasn’t broke!
I’m not here for a bold new look,
I value the content, the comradery
and some of my favorite aspects
of MVS, the civility and maturity.
You have an EXCELLENT site.
My suggestion would be to roll
it back and keep on keepin’ on!
BTW - Viewing on Ipad Mini.

Jaysus, but people are harsh.
I like it. Loads super fast, it's nice and bright, feels more "centered" and I haven't had any issues finding things...
It's McDonald's.

After using it a bit.
Content density in the threads is quite ok. Headers and signatures seem to take up relatively a bit more space. I'm missing the title in each post.
But browsing the forum, I'm mostly using the Recent posts view, the list has really grown since each thread takes up more vertical space. Where now I see five posts there used to be almost the whole list.
Also I agree with contrast being a bit low though I've mostly browsed in daylight so far. Tonight I'll probably think it's too bright, as a dark mode fan.

On Notifications, I can barely see any difference between read and unread. I takes some concentrated effort to spot the unread.
Same story on contrast between quoted and unquoted.

I would add that I prefer the posters name at the upper left
and agree with the previous comment about the thread’s title
staying there, too.
I really miss the richer, more saturated color pallette.
The shallow, washed out look that has been “trending”
in a lot of display tech recently is a lot more flash than
substance, the way I see it. Kinda like painting over a
nice wood finish with white to “ really open up the room”.
Loading times are hot! Keep the cool infrastructure
upgrades, but bring us back Legacy MVS visually.
