Ok Tex...MDK here. Yeah..so now I can see that your struts and springs need replacing. I saw the ad some one posted here about IPD 4c struts on sale. My 04 R car had the same issue. Nose down.. just like yours. You may want to contact ERIE VOLVO in upstate New York. Or check eBay motors and see what they have. I don't think your wagon has been lowered. On eBay motors in the search bar it will say... search for anything... type in S60 R auto parts and accessories and you can shop for what you need. Wagon and cars utilizes the same strut.04 to 07. MDK rolling on .. over and out

The gap from the top of the tire to the body is much smaller than from the tire to the body in front of the center of the tire. See MDK's picture on the first page of this thread. Your car is too low by a lot. I am surprised your Euro guys did not comment on this.

I have an 04 R car and I just stripped out the 4 c suspension... good riddance. I utilized the factory struts and springs from a 07 S60 AWD... I have the code prompt on the dash... but I don't care. MDK

MDK, here is a photo of the front drivers side. I didn't mean to post three, and for the life of me can figure out how to remove the two extra images.

This is quite a drop, surely aftermarket springs. May look at the shock absorbers as well when installing stock springs, who know what they put in there .. . PO means previous owner here The S60R is the brother of the V70R, basically the same car, the S60R is a sedan

I noticed IPD had a pair of Monroe for 649.00, currently on sale. I was looking at going with those. I'll need the springs as well then, correct?

I'm surprised as well. Disappointed, too. They've always been excellent. What's worse is that I specifically asked about this. The owner has worked at dealerships, and has been working on these cars for decades. He simply said something to the effect that this model car is a sports car, and is low to the ground.

I'm looking at the struts/shock absorbers IPD has on sale currently. I'll check Erie Volvo and Ebay for the springs.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

There should be a $10,000 tax for lowering cars to pay for the clean up job the next owners get putting it back. Never understood this fad.

Yeah Tex... no one likes being miss led. When you search Erie Volvo or eBay motors try to find the quick struts. Then all you have to do is unbolt the three bolts on the top and two from the steering knuckle. And unplug them obviously as they are electronically controlled .. worthless. After that you'll need an alignment. MDK

I'm a little confused now MDK. You're saying quick struts, but I thought I needed these: https://www.ipdusa.com/products/12237/1 ... -s60r-v70r

Please understand the biggest job I've ever done other than a oil change was a brake job. So I'll admit I'm out of my depth.

Also, you mentioned looking for S60 R parts, rather than V70 R. Is there a price difference, or are parts more readily available for the S60 R?
