Unknown hose missing at intake '98 V70 Turbo

Post by Goupil »

Hi,

Now that I'm done with big issues, I'm trying to fix all the small stuff and I'm stuck at a missing hose on the intake.
It's been blocked with a screw

Car is a 1998 V70 2.5T (B5254T) and the hose nipple is right after the MAF.

I can't seem to find it on Volvo diagrams, I've been told it goes to the fuel pressure regulator :?:

Do you have a sticker under hood with vacuu:hose diagrams?

There are a lot of variations of emission controls on these cars so you mightnot have anything connected there

I haven't found a sticker, if there's one where should it be ?
It's a belgian made car for the french market, so I would guess it's an Euro 3 model.

What made me think it's not stock is the fact that there's a lot of missing bolts and brackets on the car, and what the seller told me makes me think it had a rough life :?

I'll check the blue line on the TCV, thanks.

not sure in Europe, but the 2.5t would be a later engine, it hadn't been invented in '97. will be fast.

.
Feel down under the Air cleaner near the Engine/Firewall corner you will find it unless somebody removed it.
Better yet, take the Air cleaner out and open the view.

Just edited my profile, my car was made in '97 but it's a 98 model according to the VIN :P

It's there, I replaced the cracked wastegate hose yesterday :D
I gave a quick look, the blue hose is connected and goes deep into the engine bay :?

I'll get the car on ramps and investigate more tomorrow

Update:

I found this thread (same mistake as always, I'm searching with "volvo v70" and "volvo 850" keywords, but never S70...)
viewtopic.php?t=63615

Everything is plugged the same way, except I don't have a 2nd T connector on hose #3 that would let me run a hose from the intake tube. Not sure if stock or not, but since it works I'm not gonna change anything
