Replacing front door speakers

Hello all,

I want to replace my front door speakers, but wasn't sure if I also needed to replace the tweeters in the dash at the same time, or can I just simply swap out the speaker? Also, Crutchfield shows that 5.25", 6.5", and 6.75" will all fit. Is that accurate? If so, I have a pair of new Kenwood 6.5" speaker's I found in my garage from a different project that I can likely reuse, though they are 4ohm units...

That being said, I don't see anything about the use of 4 Ohm vs 8 Ohm speakers.

That very writeup you linked says it used all 4 ohm speakers, and Lee opines that it shouldn't matter.

You are correct Erik, I didn't read into the comments section, but it is definitely in there...
