Finally got VIDA to work!
So glad that I can now just lookup part numbers and put them in google when I need to buy parts! No more comparing different parts online and wondering which one fits my car! :D :D

It can be. It wasn't too challenging to get it to work on my Windows 10 laptop (which is known to be a bit of a challenge) but RickHaleParker's patch got me up and running pretty quickly and easily!
Saab TIS2000 was much more of a challenge to get working properly. I had to do that on one of my old XP desktops since that absolutely does not work on anything newer.

To celebrate my S70 hitting 270k miles, she got a full timing service. And I'm glad I did it know. A good friend helped me out (if you read this you know who you are THANKS!!) and made this job go a lot more smoothly. PO claimed he did the timing belt and cam seals around 200k miles, and once we got the cover off we discovered a true hack job. Cam sprockets were on wrong making lining up the timing marks impossible. Once we sorted that, we found an OE replacement waterpump with tons of old gasket left behind. Timing belt was starting to crack. But the most concerning of all, the hydraulic tensioner was badly corroded and the tensioner pulley was very much on its way out (stiff and screeching). So definitely glad I got this job done today. And of course to add insult to injury, the new Volvo waterpump gasket I bought arrived broken in two places (my fault for not inspecting it upon delivery). Unfortunately I needed the car and we only had one choice but to use it. Slathered it in Permetex seelant, installed the water pump to torque spec, and prayed to the Volvo gods for no leaks... prayed a lot.

Well, no, it is not difficult but does require many specific steps. I had to setup a virtual machine that runs Win7 Pro SP3 and then install Vida + required patches. So, not difficult, but time consuming nonetheless!

I rolled Evita the S70 from ALB to Smith College and back, then to PHL and back, then to Smith and back on Sunday

Elapsed miles was 960, 30 mpg. I still have cooling group refresh to do, and dash BSR repair.

Picked up an egg crate and a set of jewels for the R today. Unfortunately I can’t drive her right now due to the bad ETM. I’ll just have to spend the money on a Xemodex once the S90 sells.
Jewels will go on once I polish up the lenses and fix the pigtails that somebody chopped off. But the grille is on at least!

You guys will probably be getting a better view of my dual exit exhaust. Polish it while you're back there!
