I bought a 960 years ago, with 120k miles and it came with a 6 inch high stack of service bills from the dealer. It added up to
over thirty thousand if I remember correctly. Nearly every one was 900. There was some for accident damage though. I thought the car must be a lemon, but now I know better.

Wow, it's insane that people spend that kind of money on labor!

I wish it was zero for me but it isn't, due to:

- I occasionally buy tires
- mine have all needed at least one exhaust repair (I take them to the muffler shop for this)
- machine shop work years ago for a couple head repairs

Been lucky so far, the P80s have never needed repair while living out of town, that couldn't wait until I traveled to the car or it came back here. So far I have been in the right spot (for me) between maintenance and restoration.

I wish! I'd be making some serious cash with all the time I've spent working on my V70R!

Hy,

I will full the page. I've just picked up my new car, 850. Everything seems to be from the origin statement. I need to change belts, spark plugs, oil, filters, coolant, brakes for the most importants points.

Upgrade to a "C70" audio environnement, excepted that in C70, there are too much speakers than allowed in the 850...

I agree with all those who have already posted ... over the lifetime of owning 3 older Volvo's now I have only ever taken them to a garage for an alignment or a safety inspection. Thanks to all the helpful advice here I've always been able to tackle jobs myself. Besides, I don't trust anyone around here to take the time needed to do things right on these cars ... and parts are difficult to get and most often have to be shipped in from the states, no shop around here is going to deal with that hassle.
