I'm a newbie here and I have a question about 240 series odometers. I see quite a few 240's advertised with extremely (unlikely) low miles - like a 1986 with 118000 miles. That's just over 3k miles per year. Not likely I'm thinkin'. My '86 has had an odometer replacement at 30 k miles and my uninformed opinion is that it is not likely that most 240's have their original and functioning odometers intact. When I see a "low mileage" one my radar goes to full scam alert.
Am I nuts?
What are your thoughts?

at least the odometers work on the early cars. You cant believe any milage on the 960 940 850 etc. I ignore the odometer and look at the seats. But there were lots of rich old ladies that owns 240s and they just sat in the garage, if you live in an affluent area. but they are expensive. getting scarce too.
