I was looking at the Volvo design and came up with this thought...

Below is an Oil Trap from a 1998 S70 GLT...

What if Volvo re-designs the Oil Trap to include a removable cap at the lower end for cleaning.
All you have to do is to open the cap, use a hook tool to remove the gunk and re-install the cap.
This will make the 5h job down to 15-minute job?
What do you guys think?

You’ve got to clean out all the rest of the hoses too, but it would certainly be an easier cleanout, say, every 50k or so.
