Rotor size question.

Post by TheOtherside »

I'm having a buddy that works for US Venture price out some rotors and pads and he's getting multiple diameters for both front and rear.

Does someone know what the sizes are for front and rear rotors on a 1998 V70R?

THANKS!

The two P80 sizes are280mm and 305 302mm

Plug the VIN Into the Volvo web store And it should pop out the right part for you.

I believe the R models all got the 305 302mm rotor in 1998

1998 R should have 280mm up front. I don't think the R got 302mm front rotors until 1999 or 2000.

If you have the 302s be sure to get the matching pads. There seesm to be a difference.

Pads are the same. Caliper is the same as well.
The only difference is the caliper mounting bracket.

Thanks for everything guys. So the only real way to tell is to take them off and measure?

Almost an inch difference in diameter? Get a scale , man, and measure it.

Homemamde caliper (measuring kind) with a paint stick and two thin bamboo skewers
