Exterior trim color back

Hey black Bart..MDK here. Yep...so the Penatrol works pretty good... but if the tailgate or bumper is real gray it'll make it darker but, not all the way. I saw a guy use a heat gun,, that got it back to the original color but, got too close and the paint started to bubble up. Uh..as far as the new tires... yeah date code is good ..no shimmy..no wobble and tracks straight. Got the antifreeze done .. I'm glad I did the old stuff looked like tap water coming out... not good. Drove it around and everything looks good...fan cycled.. I'll check it tonight after it burbs and top it off.

Forever Black is a plastic dye. It will last as long as the original finish.
Make sure you do not get Forever Black on anything you do not want permanently stained. Like your paint job.

SEM trim black or SEM bumper coater is a good product/ spray paint.

Hey all... so I checked out RHP' s video. I've seen that guy before on YouTube. But considering the 2 part process cleaner/ dye . I'll stick with car wash and the Penatrol. you caneven do the wiper blade bolt covers and the lower valance under the wiper blades...I think it's like 12$ a quart... which I paid 2$ if someone on the forum tries it then you'll see...cures up in about an hour...beads water like wax...

It is your time you decide how to use it. Yes it is a two step process and you would want to take the pieces off the car to prevent staining the paint but, you do not need to keep redoing it. It is a restoration not a cosmetic makeover like the stuff you are using.

MDK here... presuming this a G rated audience, I'd like to respond to RHP's comment of "cosmetic". Penatrol is not cosmetic, hence the phrase, To penatrate. Proof is in the pudding, so this must be butterscotch. So, i did my wipers and lower valance. Last for years, beads water like wax. It's a little tacky so wear gloves ( I didn't) if you get some on the glass or paint wipe off BEFORE it sets up. Any exterior plastic or rubber. I do not sell or have any shares in the Flood Co. I just go with what works. I'm a non attorney spokesperson. Hahaha..... rolling on

Penatrol is Paraffinic Oil, which most of you know as Mineral oil or Baby oil.

I saw a video recently of someone using Transmission fluid to rejuvenate bare black plastic on the exterior. Couldn't find it but found this other video of mixing equal parts Mineral and Baby Oil? Why mix the 2 in equal parts if they are the same?

I purchased a gallon of 303 (30320) UV Protectant last year and tried it for the first time on the 03 S80 T6 about two weeks ago and it brought back the black immediately but has no shine or sheen. Will wash the car again soon and see how it held up as I didn't clean the plastic with alcohol or special cleaners beforehand.

Not sure if you realize MoVolvos but: Rick is making fun of a spelling error, his comment is irrelevant. MDK is talking about Penetrol, which is not baby oil.
