Thanks for the directions to change the fuel filter. Very helpful! It is a PITA, for just a filter change, but I tried a few things that made it a little more bearable. I was able to do the job without crawling under the car. One can gain better access to the front fuel hose connector by removing a wire connector that is in the way. Look in the forward access hole and you will see a 10mm bolt that holds a metal bracket that supports a plastic wire connector. It is really in the way, so just remove the bolt and tuck that wire connector out of the way. I was then able to remove and replace the filter out of that forward access hole. Of course, you have to remove the filter bracket before you snake the filter out of the hole. I was happily surprised that I could R and R through that smaller hole! No lifting the vehicle, no crawling around, no gas in the face. Who needs it!

I used a body clip tool to remove the lines and 3-in-1 oil to re-install the lines.

I know I'm bringing this back from the dead, but I'm currently dealing with rusted threads on the torx screw and the head is just about stripped out. It started fine, then locked up. I was able to use the top access hole to wire brush the threads and spray from penetrating fluid on there. Currently letting it stew overnight and we'll see what happens tomorrow. Does anyone know the part number for the bracket/clamp itself if I want to just go the route of removing the whole thing?

That definitely looks like it! I was hoping it wasn't one giant piece, but poking around in there it seemed like it was. That's unfortunate. I might pick it up just to be safe. Thank you!scot850 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2025, 22:42 This is a parts drawing. Does this cover the parts you are asking about?

Just to post an update on this and to help anyone out in the future - I ended up needing to drill the bolt out. I drilled the head out and was able to thread the bolt through the nut on the back, keeping it intact. The part drawing says it's an M6x16, but after getting it out it's definitely an M5x20.
