2007 C70, Timing?

Post by 07C70 »

Greetings all,

I bought my 2nd c70 and it went like not even 1 mile. A 2007 with 156k. Just stalled at low speed.

Afterwards it cranked over like no compression. It was 100 degrees out so I called the tow truck and walked back.

I thought it jumped timing so thats what I told them. But I went to the shop and it was already closed, the car was locked but the hood was open. I could see and feel the timing belt tight as a drum no damage by sight or touch.

Not really sure if I should go about a compression test or tow to volvo just to be told the same thing. But there really doesn't seem to be an issue with the belt and there was tight tension on it as well.

Tight tension does not mean it didn't jump timing.
I'll keep fingers crossed. Please post back as to what happened!
