overheating, head gasket 1996 850

my car overheated on me. after it cool down i put water in it and i notice when it runs white looking steam comes out the exhaust. also noticed that when car is running the coolant container is bubbling and the car has a hard time starting up. any ideas?

Sounds like a blown headgasket.

Yep, I second that.
Sorry to tell you but when these aluminum engines over heat, most often, the consequences are warped parts (mainly the head) that allow coolant into the engine. There is no solution but to rebuild or to replace the engine. If you wait too long, the only option will be to replace, period.

Overheated aluminum block = new engine time.
