Overheating volvo 850t5 new head gasket

Ok so i did a head gasket on my volvo 850 i use the victor reinz head gasket kit with all o rings and all things need new bolts etc... I replace the head gasket because i start to explote coolant Reservoir one after another mecanics told me it was because a head gasket i was puting compresion on the engine and make it explode so i replace it and right now after 10 min of getting it to run went to a tire shop around 1 mile far of my house hit the gas and as soon it build boost temperature went up i got home check coolant and it was completly full now i dont know wats the problem now!!!

that would be normal if you just ran it after filling. the air in the system expands and pushes up the fluid in the tank. You have to bring it up to temp and shut it off and let the coolant pull out of the tank as it cools and shrinks, or burp it somehow, several times. However I thought there is no gasket on the heads, only special sealer from volvo or CRC. was the head warped and did you have it flattened?

There is a solid Head Gasket. It is the Cam Cover Gasket that is a liquid gasket.

Yes the head was send to a machine shop they told me that it was in good condition but I didn't want to risk it so I got it flat and also yes I took all the air out of the cooling system I did it a few times until coolant State on the same level

Did you do a compression test before and after the head job?
Did you check the head for flatness when you had it off?

Did you ever try a new thermostat?
Do you know what kind of water been used in the coolant system?
What type of antifreeze has been used past and present?
Have you burped all the air out of the coolant system?

I have two years with that engine and I have always used a 50/50 coolant the compression test I did it before and it went good and all cylinders also I did block test with some liquid that it should tell you if you have exhaust gases in your cooling system and it never change colors before and now also language question is if I have the car running without the cap should the coolant up and start coming out of the reservoir?

50/50 is the mix ratio not the type of antifreeze.

Without the cap on ... the reason the coolant system is sealed is to increase the pressure and raise the boiling point of water. If you prevent the pressure rise the water will have a lower boiling point.

Did you ever try a new thermostat? A slow thermostat can give you the symptoms you have.
Do you know what kind of water been used in the coolant system?

no. unless it was over heating. the gauge would tell you that. I wonder if there is a way pressure could be forced in from the turbo cooler lines if the turbo was hot and circulation blocked ? I haven't heard of that, but besides a head gasket and overheating (low coolant, bad water pump, thermostat) that's all the possibilities to bubbles in the resivour tank.

The exhaust gas detector I sent a definitive positive but indeterminate negative test for a gasket leak

I can’t remember if the Reinz head gasket has a good reputation here, that’s worth a search

I don't know what type of water cuz I have never put water in it until right now I have always use the 50/50 mix white gallon from Walmart what I'm going to try to do is try to run it with no thermostat and see if the problem gets so or it stays the same
