Hey dosbricks nothing like a little side humour to break things up

I know you didn't mean that I live in a backward country where safety takes a rear seat. I think you'll find that the ABS module and master cylinder are not connected physically except by brake lines, even in LHD fitment. The same ABS units from USA fit my 1999 and 2000 model V70s as Matty has sent me one recently.

The V70R I bought is reasonable in condition. The interior is dirty but can be saved. The bonnet has so many small stonechips that it warrants a respray and the clear is coming off the rear bumper.

I don't treat my daily driver, a 2000 V70 so well though. I've carried 200 pounds of lumber on the roof racks as well as heavy cupboards and metal reinforcement and have scratched the rear bumper totally by scraping heavy printers against it. Cargo carpets are a sham.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go buy some kerosine for tonight as I want to stay up and read a little. :D

Hey Precopster,
That's a great looking R, you did a heck of a job resurrecting it. You must feel very proud when you're driving down the road. Good job.

Got a message from the new owner last month. He says that one of the cylinders is down on compression after a leak-down test and that the head is not the suspect. He has managed to put almost another trouble free 100,000kms on the car and wants a new block soon. I suggested a XC90 block and to keep the original head.

He loves the car and won't part with it after owning Saab turbos and a Toyota/Subaru RWD parts bin car I think it's called an 86
