That won't buff out

Wife got hit in a parking lot by Cab driver, she sent me this picture; I haven't looked at the car.
Is front quarter panel bolted in or bolted and welded? I know there is the top bolts in the engine bay, not sure
if it is welded anywhere?. She was hit once before and I was able to hammer the dent out, this is much worse.

You are the luckiest man on MVS this week.

That fender panel will bolt off, and my guess is the underlying stuff is all good.

If you post your colour code, you might be able to find a bolt on junkyard one for cheap and skip paint.

If it is her car, then have the taxi company pay the Volvo Body guys to do it.

I am decently lucky knock on particle board, but she's been hit 3 times. Great to hear I can just unbolt the fender. Thanks

Well, what a bummer.

Looks like the door got damaged as well. Hopefully you will find one at the junk yard too, they are super easy to change out.

When you take the fender off, 10mm bolts, there is on one the rear that is accessed from the door opening, with a 6" extension? Leave one bolt holding the fender to the top portion and take off the other bolts first.

Might want to take the inner fender off also.

That panel is super easy to remove. A few 10mm bolts and you're good to go.

Still waiting for insurance response; I'm pretty sure they won't fix it like last time they will just write cheque. It looks easy to fix, I found someone who had a fender.

The car smells a bit like gas, I believe the purge valve is behind that fender correct? Is the OEM supplier Bosch, I see it listed on rock auto?
Are those plastic coated rivets for the liner only available at the dealer?

You can use after market rivets too. Harbor freight sells substandard chinesium ones. Amazon has some at good prices. I have even gone the cheap route and use aluminum rivets with washers in the past.

Purge canister and hoses are behind that on the early 1998 and before. Make sure you don't need new stuff before you settle the claim!
