check engine light

Post by Jennifer »

:x I just purchased a used 1997 850GLT. After two weeks my Tracs off light would not go off. $600

Now, one month later, my check engine light is on. Being ticked off at the dealership, I took my Volvo to a local mechanic. They said the code was reading something about the coolant temp/ or something. They said it they didn't see any problems so they reset the code. After 4 more days, the light came on again. Now, my fan always run after turning the car off.
even during this Chicago's cold winter.

Any suggestions? I don't want to waste more money taking this car to the dealer. I have a feeling I bought a lemon. I'm starting to think it won't be Volvo for Life for me! maybe volvo for 3 months.

Any input is appreciated!
