I've not had one dealer decline to tell me the service history of a car I had an interested in purchasing. You let them know the car is for sale and you have the VIN. They have always accommodated but never provided any personal info.

Well, tore it down and replaced the valve cover gaskets... PITA...
they are all sealed good, but the leak persists. back of the rear cylinder head is dry. Checked in the balance shaft valley while I had the lower intake off. quite a bit of gunk and sludge down in the pockets. Took a vacuum pump and a jar and sucked all the liquids up I could get out of all the pockets. After driving, front bank of the engine is oily as well... New oil filter housing and O-Ring with the oil change, possibly the oil cooler on the side of the block leaking. it has a couple small dings in it like it hit something (or something hit it) so I picked one up from a junkyard for 25 bucks (started another thread for that).
any other common leaks on these V8 engines? Front and rear (crank seals etc) are all dry...
