It's really OK to pull the ECU, even if it's tight. I've done it many, many times.

another small update. the main relay plug on the radiator...i see now that the connector is crap and corroded. the plastics holding the female terminals are degraded and don't hold the terminals well anymore, so they slip down and lose the connection to the relay. i pushed the terminals up and plugged each of them into the relay, then slid the connector housing over the terminals and secured it to the relay. still no run.

based on others' experience, i feel like i'm chasing a bad ground somewhere that is keeping the injectors from firing or closing the circuit so they fire. i haveall the elements of running (good compression, good fuel pressure, good spark, 12v power to the injectors) and it runs on starter fluid for a few seconds.

great...I hate chasing bad grounds

Ok its been a while and I have news

After swapping the crank sensor with a new one, the injectors got pulse, but still werent squirting. Keep in mind the first thing I did when i bought the car was to send injectors off to be rebuilt...i did this more for my peace of mind than anything. This ended up being a mistake b/c all 5 injectors were not squirting even with a pulse.

After confirming they got pulse (and they didnt have pulse in prev diagnosis due to a bad crank sensor), i swapped the parts car injectors and she fired right up!

Im angry that the shop that supposedly rebuilt the injectors did a crap job!

So if your car runs ok, chances are that you wont need a injector rebuild

But she’s up and running now! Not i need to dig into low boost

Appreciate all your help here!!

Post pictures of the rebuilt the injectors, business end views.

Measure the resistance of each injector and post the numbers.

All 5 measured 14.9 ohm

Yes its weird to say that the rebuilds are bad, esp when the shop gave me a writeup saying that the spray pattern was improved, etc.

I didnt want to list the name of the shop yet....maybe theres some protective cap im missing or totally not seeing w/the rebuilt ones. Am I the idiot here?

If im not stupid, and the rebuilds are truly bad, then ill list the name of the shop.

Probably a distraction but are those yellow (wrong, NA injectors) or orange or red (correct injectors)? Presumably yellows would still fire, I don't know of anyone ever trying them in an HPT engine, but just curious.
