2006 C70 Struts

Got estimates from 1500 to 1800 to replace the front struts. I am a decent back yard mechanic so I was wondering how difficult is it just to change them myself. I have access to a lift but if it is super difficult I don't want to open a can of worms.

That's silly! I paid $1,200 at the Volvo dealer to replace the front struts on my daughter's 2007 C70. So wherever you are checking are way high! June

Perhaps and we hope he meant four struts instead of "front"

Good quality Sachs struts at FCP Euro less than $250 the pair. You may need spring compressors that you can borrow at AutoZone and such. Takes maybe three hours if first time. I've replaced them on my 2001 C70 and 2002 S80 not yet on the 2008 C70 but probably similar job. So save yourself $1,000 plus.
