Hey everyone i did some searches online without much luck so thought I would check here. I found a 2007 S80 V8 for sale online and am really interested in going to see it. Although it turns out its 4.5 hours away the one big red flag i got from the salesman was that the radio and nav don’t work because its missing a module under the passenger seat?? What module is this. And can it be replaced. I know with my 05 s60 pretty well all that kind of stuff needs to be original or reprogrammed by a dealer. Which i hear can be quite expensive. Any information you can tell me about this is greatly appreciated because if its going to cost a lot to replace then i will have to keep searching. Thanks for your time

How did this S80 lose this module? Why is it being put up for sale in this condition? If this was car-parts theft, the title and Carfax history may come with permanent blemishes. I'd be looking for red-flags in the documentation -- those cannot be fixed at any price.

The AUM, which is the amplifier, is under the RF seat. It should be plug n play on that car but there are different AUMs. Usually the 2007 V8 S80s were high option cars being the first year and the extra cost engine.

Is there a way i can find out what model aum would be in it? Through vin or something. Looks to be fully loaded. Heated cooled seats, blis, adaptive cruise. When you say high option cars is that what you mean?

The VIN can be run in VIDA by a dealer, parts dept will have that system. Yes, that car is highly optioned one I'm talking about. It will almost assuredly have the DynAudio speakers and Premium Sound package with the higher output, additional channels, AUM. Go look at this https://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-VOLVO-80- ... SwYZJdqmLk
and see if the wire connectors on the car are matches for the receptacles on this amp unit. The orange aren't wires, they are two fiber optic conductors. There are three connectors plus the two element fiber optics connector. The dealer may also be able to tell you if the 31210029 part number is correct.

Thanks. The car is 4.5 hours away from me so I can’t see that stuff. Just know it will come safetied i was reading online about AUD but you call it AUM. Same thing? They look to be around 800 bucks. Crazy. I also found on amazon what i think to be an aftermarket vida and dice. The CD says 14d latest update. Will this item work for me to save a couple hundred bucks or is it just fake?
