That, I do plan to do. I was looking at Kinugawa products for this turbo and might actually get the billet adjustable BOV. It bolts in place of the CBV, comes with different springs. Any suggestions for a good sturdy diaphragm?
For now, the TCV has alleviated my issue. I went to the junkyard, snagged a bunch off various turbo Volvo's[they were a buck a pop], cut off a pig tail, took them home. Applied 12 volts, picked the snappiest one. Turns out, this car[at least with this tune] is not at all picky about the TCV!
So in closing, bad TCV can hide on a car if you don't know exactly how it's SUPPOSED to boost. Here I was kicking around with the stock tune thinking "okay yeah this thing's kinda quick for a 90's wagon", accepting that's how it was supposed to be. The ONLY reason I knew there was a problem, was due to installing an aftermarket ECU that's supposed to give a SIGNIFICANT power increase. No change indicated something was wrong!
