Yeah... couple tips on the heater core... clamp off the two heater hoses in the engine bay (if you're not draining/flushing the coolant at the same time) with some hose clamp-off pliers, and place a large trash bag under the heater box before you remove the lines. Otherwise, you'll be cleaning up a lot of coolant from your carpets!
What did you do to your Volvo today? Topic is solved

Unfortunately I've done that as well . On my 97 jetta I had a while back. In my case the wiper arm was only about 3 inches off the glass when it slipped but it was till enough of a jolt to make it a very expensive wiper blade replacement.
It really stinks.
I feel for you.

Wow, those are really important warnings... I don't know what you would do without them! Brave soul taking on that job!
Started to swap the control arm bushings in the S60 yesterday... have to continue this morning since my dad thought he was a master at using my press and destroyed two Lemforder bushings... $115 later on Autozone bushings (ouch... Lemforders were $36 for the pair!) and we've got one in.
Funny, since I bought that press I have yet to use it. My dad and my cousin always manage to take over and do something stupid with it.

Semi broke down, going to job this morning. About 10 mile from home, car dies and won't idle, difficult to start. Able to get car into near by parking lot. Running very rough with foot on gas, in park. Drive will stall engine even with foot on gas. Open hood and disconnect MAF, Start car, runs better and head back home. At home remove distributor and find oil (I had noticed oil from the weep hole). Oil seal had competely fallen out. Clean it all up, used some retaining compound (loctite rc/609) and put the old seal back in. Cleaned up old spare dist cap ( to save time and avoid oil cean up) Just misfire codes, and maf code, reset all good. Glad it didn't break down driving kids during holidays (airport). Old seal went back in very loose. I at first used very little retaining compound, then added more after it went back in so easily.
This is the first time since I've owned, in six years , the car died when running. I once had a no start with a fuel pump problem.
Funny thing I knew I had an oil leak there. Tools needed 3mm hex, flat blade, 10 mm socket. Good things to carry, with spare rotor, fuel pump relay jumper. and torx
258k miles,
Bill
edit: second time car died when running, (ignition coil failed 1/4 mile from home).
Will check crankcase pressure. pcv should be good.

Bill, check your crankcase pressure. If you out the seal back in and glue it, the next one to blow out will be the cranki seal, yikes

Due to some oil getting spilled on my FCP return box, I now have a brand new Mann, not opened in dirty box, cartridge oil filter for a 99-00 P80 (and possibly other models). Mann Oil Filter HU819x free to good home, I have no use for it. E Showell, abscate and kahl have first dibs to balance the karma debts. Will hold for 96 hours, after that it goes to first user to PM me a mailing address. Happy Holidays!

I’m on the free for life plan with FCP, but karmic points are given for good intentions, which also pave the road to my final destination.WhatAmIDoing wrote: ↑02 Dec 2019, 20:31 Due to some oil getting spilled on my FCP return box, I now have a brand new Mann, not opened in dirty box, cartridge oil filter for a 99-00 P80 (and possibly other models).
